This week we meet another unnamed woman, Moses’ Cushite wife. Though she is mentioned briefly in Numbers, she sure opens up a can of worms! Moses’ sister Miriam is struck with leprosy as a result of the incident in Numbers 12:1-2. Although both Miriam and her brother Aaron object to the Cushite woman, only Miriam is punished with the skin disease. I have written elsewhere about Miriam’s part in this story.
